All estimates provided by Cheney Concrete and Masonry - whether by phone, email, or in person - are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated in writing. An estimate is not a guaranteed final price. The final cost may change if the scope of work changes after the estimate is issued, if unforeseen conditions are discovered during the work, or if material costs change significantly between the estimate and the start date.
Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be documented in a written change order signed by both parties before additional work begins. Verbal authorizations for scope changes are not binding onCheney Concrete and Masonry.
Scheduling is subject to crew availability and weather conditions. We will provide you with a start date or window before work begins. We reserve the right to reschedule work due to weather conditions that would affect the quality of the work, including freezing temperatures, rain, or high winds.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed appointment, please notify us as soon as possible - at least 48 hours in advance where possible. Cancellations made after work has begun may be subject to charges for labor and materials already expended.
Payment terms are established in your written estimate or service agreement. For most projects, a deposit is required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon completion. Specific payment schedules for larger projects will be outlined in the written agreement.
Invoices that are not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late payment fee as permitted by applicable law. Cheney Concrete and Masonry reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies for non-payment, including the filing of a lien on the property in accordance with Washington State lien laws.
You agree to provide Cheney Concrete and Masonry with accurate information about your property and the work you are requesting. You are responsible for ensuring that the work area is accessible and that any necessary clearances, permits, or HOA approvals that are your responsibility (not ours) have been obtained before work begins.
You agree to keep children and pets away from the work area during the duration of the project. Cheney Concrete and Masonry is not responsible for damage to personal property left in or near the work area after being informed that access is needed.
Where required by local law, Cheney Concrete and Masonry will obtain the necessary building permits before commencing structural work. Permit fees may be included in the project estimate or billed separately - this will be clearly stated before you agree to the work. You agree to cooperate with any required inspections and to sign documentation necessary to facilitate the permit process.
Cheney Concrete and Masonry warrants its workmanship against defects for a period stated in your written service agreement. Warranty terms vary by project type and will be documented in writing at the time of project completion. This workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by improper maintenance, alterations made by others, acts of nature, or conditions that were present before work began and were not part of the contracted scope.

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings arising from these terms shall be brought in the courts located in Spokane County, Washington.
Cheney Concrete and Masonry reserves the right to update or change these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
